Walker's stories offer a myriad of human desires: sexual desire -- the need to be touched; the all consuming desire to love and be loved; desire for self-actualization -- to achieve the dream or hidden potential; desire to move on; desire to maintain established intimacy and friendships, but to also find out if there is more; loving and desiring while safeguarding true feelings and falsely offering an open heart. So many kinds of desire ... all intertwined with the mysteries of the human soul.
